A while ago I saw a video on these boards and I'm having trouble finding it again..

It was a documentary type video that featured a very old, very small, and very muscular karateka with his students breaking a baseball bat and other things.

I remember the narrator emphasizing that conditioning for striking along with breaking had been one of the things which left an impression on people and helped karate to spread. The narrator called it ironic that many of the training methods which enabled advanced breaking have been lost or are largely ignored in training..

It was a really excellent clip and I'd like to be able to share it with people. I've looked several pages back, and through most of the video thread, but I haven't found it.

If any of you guys has any idea where it could be, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm almost positive you're talking about Shinyu Gushi, kudan in Uechi Ryu/Pangai Noon Karate.

Here is the actual DVD where they demonstrate a lot of their training and that same scene:

Unfortunately I couldn't find it on Youtube anywhere for you.
