I worked in a magazine shop, almost exclusively for the ability to read the new martial arts mags as they came in AND eviserate the old ones going back out for posters for my bedroom wall. Nerd. Set. Match.
Hah! I had the "Original Ninja" magazine posters and covers mounted on cardboard! I even had 3 (count 'em) Sho Kosugi posters. At one point I had A4/letter sized pictures fo James loriega, Ron Duncan, Rob Bussey, Stephen Hayes, Hatsumi, Nagato, Michael Legband...you name it! I was a full on "Ninjer" nut!! And I used to cut out WWE mag pictures for sticking to my cabinets.... .....23 years old I was (Lee & Herring references FTW!!)

I know your pain! I took a BA (University) in Film and Media back in 2003. I wrote it on Graphic Novels and its acceptance within different societies and how it will affect cinema. Mainly wrote about Watchmen. "Never gonna happen" was my reply.
I guess I'm not too geeky in regards to MA....apart from being a MOD! I got a cheap Katana complete with throwing stars hidden in the hilt. A full on Ninja suit. Bruce Lee jumpsuit (standard, was thinking of being Zombie Brucie next Halloween) and pretty much a full Rey Mysterio costume. Mask, gloves, forearm covers with 619 on them....
