The donations have started, with Lakitos' and my donations being paid. Get in early folks, then it's done and dusted. Just Giving Page.
Woo-hoo. Mitch will be leading the group warm up at this year's meet. :woo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjkYHr94wnc
Not looking like I can make it this year But to any first-timers and fellow lurker-members sat on the fence, I can vouch for it being a great day and am sure you'll come away having learnt something
Thanks to Mitch we are going to have another raffle at the MAP Meet. Last year in addition to raising money for the charity we held a raffle to win martial arts related items donated by Mitch, John Titchen, myself and Lei. That additional money went to the Save Steph campaign. Mitch has found some more martial arts gear he is willing to donate and I'll search the shed and do the same. If anyone else wants to donate something martial arts related to the raffle they are more than welcome. We can either add the money raised on the day to the existing charity fund, or you lot can pick another worthy cause.
MAP has today signed the rental agreement for the dojo and we have access from 9.00am. The official start is 10.00am, but I'll be there from 9.00 should anyone want to get there early for a chat and feel for the place before we get going. Martial Arts Planet will cover the cost of the venue hire meaning every penny raised goes to charity.
Donation for myself and two students, Sue and Jacob, all paid Been meaning to come to a meet for years now - finally, I can make it!!! See you all there!
Thank you to Bloodwise for supplying t-shirts and wristbands. We'll get a few of you wearing the t-shifts in the end of event pictures. https://www.facebook.com/martialart....6338139970/10150751964449971/?type=3&theatre https://twitter.com/MAPlanet
We've already mentioned holding another raffle at the end of the MAP Meet and this year the additional money raised will go to cancer research. Each year Mitch does some work for the long day down, a motorcycle ride from one end of the country to the other on bikes that cost only a few hundred pounds. The money raised goes to cancer research. In addition cancer is something that one of Mitch's assistants has suffered from recently, so it's something close to his heart. I've said it before. This meet is personal and it's gonna be awesome.
I have a pair of these that I'll throw into the raffle. https://www.boxfituk.com/ergo-coach-spar-tech-pads-blackred.ir For those that haven't seen them before they're like jab/hook pads, but they allow you to hit back.
