I didn't see an answer in the judo resource(s) sticky, sorry if this has been done. My question is, is there a Judo throw "bible" of sorts? Ie, does something come to mind in terms of a/the best book for learning judo throw techniques. I understand no book will teach like instruction/practice, blah blah, I take bjj and we work judo throws periodically, I just would like to supplement in down time, bathroom time, etc., some details on the basic throw techniques to think about and try to perfect them when practicing.
I use both of them, the A-Z of Judo is a great quick reference guide but Kodokan Judo is the best in terms of describing the techniques.
Or a more up-to-date bible on throwing techniques - Kodokan Judo: Throwing Techniques by Toshiro Daigo 9th dan, ex-CI of the kodokan. Much better photgraphs and step-by-step descriptions than Kano's or Mifune's classic books.
The translated version of the book just came out in Aug '05 and is great. Some examples of the content can be seen at - http://www.kodokan.org/e_waza/nagewaza.html
Wow, i thought i had almost everything but that one looks too good to miss will have to order it. Cheers K
