I have been using bike shorts for ballet classes for 3 years or so. They're at last becoming worn at the seams and need to be replaced. I need something similar that doesn't tear when put under the stresses of splits, high kicks, etc. Any suggestions? :hat:
Mankini. Covers everything that needs to be covered, and then doesn't even have seams in areas that would be stressed. Bam. Problem solved. You're welcome.
Leotard is what we wore in ballet years ago and I am pretty sure that is still the case. Is there something you need to hide that the leotards don't cover? Normally a guy will wear a dance belt (like a jock strap) to flatten and disguise the obvious. If you don't like them for some reason a wrestling uni is very similar , can be worn with a t shirt and wouldn't be out of place. Finally, why not ask your instructor who will tell you what they are comfortable with you wearing? Just sayin' LFD
She referred me to a dancewear place, who in turn suggested the bike shorts. I'm a big fella and apparently don't fit standard stuff they carry. #tallpeopleproblems :bang:
So me sticking a rolled up pair of socks down my shorts was a bad thing. No wonder they looked at me funny.
Under armour / nike etc all sell compression shorts and leggings in xxxxl large sizes nowadays, there about 20 dollars online.
