Zosaru Ryu

    has anyone here (other than me) heard of Zosaru Ryu jujitsu?

    Nope. In fact, when I put it into google, the only hit was the mention you've made of it on this site!

    Zo in Japanese means Elephant and Saru means Monkey. There are no jujutsu schools, classical or modern that are based on animal styles, so it sounds a bit spurious to me.

    well, It is part of the AJJF (australian jujitsu federation) so it is legit. we learn everything other people learn. I think zosaru is the name of the queensland jujitsu club

    I don't think this thread needed to be deleted, so I've restored it. If munkiejunkie prefers, I will lock it for further discussion, but it's always useful to have these threads around in case someone else asks about the style or wishes to contribute more information.
