no, there was an x-kan known as Zenbukan around 10years ago. Can't remember the name of the guy who started it but I think he was one of Hatsumis first students
no, it was always genbukan , zenbukan and jeninkan. i'm not sure what order chronologically. but they setup around mid 90s. unless they BECAME jeninkan or genbukan but i'm pretty certain they were seperate from the other 2
Bujinkan was the first and is the largest of the X-Kan organizations. The Genbukan was started in 1984 after Tanemura Soke left the Bujinkan, and the Jinenkan was started in 1996 after Mr. Manaka left the Bujinkan. Never heard of any Zenbukan as far as ninpo goes.
I know! BAD ME! STUPID, STUPID ME for reversing the e and the i at 3am in the morning , typing with no lights on so i don't wake the wife up. I shall commit suppeku immediately

:topic: Wow. Hideki Iwakabe, mentioned on that page, was an assistant instructor (shodan, still in his teens I think) at the Shotokan karate dojo in Denver where I got my very first formal martial-arts training, starting in the summer of '67. Went on to get respectable ranks in Shotokan, Kendo, and Iaido.
