I often here ppl use the word 'zen' on its own. Isn't it 'zen buddhism'? whats the difference and would you say 'Zen' on its own is a bit of a New Age thing. btw wats the difference between Zen and Daoism? (if there is any) thx
Dude, Zen is about opinion and insight... so whatever I type is specific to my belief and opinion, and others might have a different take. Have a hundred people read the same koan, and you're likely to get 72 different answers. Read some koan. Zen's about your mind, not mine/ours. Only in as much as the central message of simplicity appeals to folk in this cluttered world. New Age for me is dirty travellers, didgeridoos and tossers walking around Glastonbury.
