Some more advanced details here Is this the same Yoshin-ryu that influenced the development of Tenjin Shinyo-ryu jujutsu and Kodokan judo? If so, it is really something to see a classical style of jujutsu going strong and with so many members.
But they are recognised by the International Federation of Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu and are a proven samurai battle art. They even have the official Yoshin Ryu patch:
If I remember correctly, Elvis Presley was an American Kenpo guy. Don't remember where I read that, though. I doubt he was a Boojie, although I suppose some tabi could qualify as blue suede shoes.
Actually I think Elvis was a black belt in Peichin Ryu (might have spelt it wrong), and then a black belt in American Kenpo under Ed Parker. A lot of his bodyguards were high ranking black belts too...Ed Parker acted as his bodyguard at the later part of his life... I have a Nidan in American Kenpo and have studied with the Bujinkan (Budo Taijutsu). To be honest I like the Bujinkan much more than American Kenpo... Patrick
