Georgian Khridoli is about as rare as you can get. Here's a trailer from an upcoming documentary:

Man that looks killer... I've got a pretty extensive collection of images from those types of people. Many are old Russian etchings. Fascinating stuff. Jeez can't wait to see that!!

As i understand it "te" as in shuri te , naha te etc pre date gojuryu and other more modern styles.

Yeah, it's a real cultural treasure, perhaps one of the most important cultural traditions in WMA. I love those aged masters... check out the injured fingers. The "Real Deal" if there ever was one. :)

    Best regards,

-Mark (and thanks to Louie for bringing this up on the swordforum)

True. When Fish of Doom said "Okinawa Te" it clicked in my head as the term used to generalize Okinawan Karate (as used by our Okinawan contacts), not the old art "Te" (Shuri Te/Naha Te/Tomari Te) that was blended with Kempo to create Kara Te.

You are correct. It was actually absorbed into Brazilian Jiu Jutsu in the 50's.

Let's keep in mind that most fighting systems through history didn't have specific names or lineages. For example, the Zulu King Chaka reportedly revolutionized the method of spear-fighting of Zulu warriors. However, I've yet to find a Zulu spearmanship school. But who knows, perhaps there are a group of people in South Africa or Lesotho keeping these methods alive.
As far as obscure Chinese martial arts go, why stop at boxing styles? How much wolf-tooth mace training does your kung fu school? How many kwoons practice using the Pudao or Zhanmadao to cut the legs out from underneath horses?

ACCA TKD is rare. So far I only know of two schools that teach it.
