    Hello

I was thinking of supplementing my training with Wing Chun. There are a lot of WCI clubs springing up in my area. The ones I have approached are all very cagey about fees - until I eventually turn up I guess.

Does anyone out there have any experience with this association? If so, how was it and are they worth it?

    Thanks in advance..

They seem very geared around marketing and making money, there's no mention of teachers names and background that I could seel, plus there's 28 adult grades, and they give kids Blackbelts.

What is missing from your current training that you think WC will fix?

Adding a new art is not always the answer - often its better to try and understand your own

Poor structure, sloppy form, zero pressure and questionable drilling - sadly epitomizes a lot of the stereotyping WC has come under fire for

Definitely looks like a way better shout.

Mushroom De-powered to come back better than before.

I would go back to Hannibal's question , as to why a whole new art is being questioned into being a "supplementation".

    What are your aims/goals/expectations?

Note how the "grand master" does not list any credentials. From whom did he learn Wing Chun? Who authorised him to teach? Who authorised his teacher? Keep going back until you find a recognized name. I can do that very easily in my case. Why can't he?

It appears he learned from James Sinclair as one of his first students who was taught by yip chun.

The organisational structure seems to remind me of leung ting way of teaching though...

I'm not seeing that on their web site.

It's not and I didn't say it was?
Simply google who runs this organisation and then google who trains him?
    And on James Sinclairs website

True, you didn't say it was.

However, Sinclair's site does not have an easily located list of those he's authorised to teach, and Cameron never lists on his site who his teachers were or who authorised him to teach. That's my main point. It just seems suspicious.

He was also UK rep for the EWTO for a while so that would be where the Leung Ting connection comes from.

Given all the politics in martial arts, sometimes even good instructors fall out with their teachers. Hence the absence of lineage on their websites.
