    Aww, come on, Saz!

We'll even get some really cute background dancers for you! And all the (virtual) chocolate chip cookies and beer you want!

If you pressure us, it stays the way it is.

    If you ask nicely.... :)

But seriously, MAP has evolved so we have some structure issues (such as 'Freestyle' and BJJ being a sub-forum).

But if we give BJJ a forum, the No-Gi guys will want one too ;)

/me smacks Mickey and Sever. Shh, dammit, lemme do the talking before I gong sau your asses. I'd lose, but still... ;)

Freeform, a BJJ forum would be wonderful. We have enough practioners, and the "gi versus no gi" debate can rage on in private. It seems to me that we have enough members, discussion topics, and differences in style to justify a move from "subforum of JJJ" to "independant forum". Plus all the cool kids will like us more if we do! :p

yea i can see it makes sense to have a BJJ forum on its own i can also see why it was a sub forum because the foundation still came from ju jitsu, just dont make ju jitsu a sub forum cause i didnt join so many other sites cause no one has a ju jitsu forum they usually only have BJJ like its the same thing

Wasn't Maeda a Judoka under Kano? It'd make more sense if it was a subforum of Judo.

Personally I think it's popular enough art to have it's own forum.

Come on, that was sweet. Such play on words was formerly reserved for poets.

In that case why don't we split Karate up into separate style forums - that's no different than the current Korean arts split up and the separate karate styles have been around far longer than the whole BJJ thing. I suspect one of the reasons there are so few karate posters is the lack of clear demarkation.

But then if you did that I'd also want to see self defence split up into those who do it as an aside to another form of MA training and those who focus purely on self defence. Or those who teach police and military endorsed systems and those who don't....

Maybe we should just turn them all into sub-forums grouped under country of origin. :p
