Who here trains yoga regularly and what benefits do you feel you've gained?
Also how often do you train?

I try to do asanas at least 2-3 times a week. I do pranayama about 2 times a week.

    I've gained:
-some flexibility, though there are more efficient methods for doing that
-more awareness and control over where my weight is
-more breath control through doing the asanas as well as pranayama
-more strength in some of the smaller muscles of the shoulder and spine
    -general physical and mental relaxation

    I don't train Yoga anymore.

In the past when I practiced Iyengar I found dramatic improvements in swimming, in Ashtanga good improvements to body tone, and in Hatha somewhere to apply the Iyengar. All of them were good for posture and flexibility. Generally I was training 2 x 2 hour sessions a week.

I used to a few years ago, and pilates too.

Awesome workout, and always many pretty ladies in the classes.
(something you may have religious problems with)

I use some of the postures together with gymnastics natural and flowfit as warmdowns at the classes I teach.

Posture and dexterity are the main benefits.

I am a frequent stretcher 2-4 times a day, the more flexible you are the higher your kicks. the easier your muscles move. you don't have to constantly resist in you're a ground fighter. helps with flow. makes everything better
