I was just wondering, since many people might now post here often (like me) and still may take it. How many people take Kempo and what one do you take?
I tried Kenco Rich Roast, but then I went back to Gold Blend. Now I'm on the Asda's own label "Gold Roast". How do you take your Kempo? I take mine with cow's milk and no sugar.
Neither... both? Shihan Geary started in a USSD school, but then went on to learn from Nick Cerio and Lou Angel, and then codified his understand of Shaolin Kempo into "Geary's Shaolin Kempo". I've done a lot of comparisons of our style with USSD and NCK, and it resembles both but is not exactly either. Less ornate than USSD, more circular than NCK... hard to say... I would ask you, what do you see as the differences between Villari and USSD? Becasue as fas as I know they are very similar... in fact you might find more differences between any 2 USSD schools than between Villari and a USSD instructors.
KenpoDavid- -Thanks for the reply. I asked because I spent some time with USSD in the past, and while I believe that many of their instructors are nice people with a decent level of skill, overall the franchise has left a bad taste in my mouth. This is just my opinion, and I had wanted to see what you thought of the organization. To tell you the truth, I've found that the Villari instructors usually have cheaper tuition and less commercialism. In addition, I've noticed that many Villari instructors "do their own thing" in regards to modifying the syllabus, adding material from other systems, etc... whereas USSD instructors are almost completely uniform (I think it has something to do with their franchise/teaching rules). I could be wrong. May you achieve Satori
