    Welcome

JKD aside, the other two are VERY broad terms. It ultimately comes down to the individual schools you have to choose from - where do you live and what are your options?

I like karate myself. :) But if you go to a dojo with no sparring, it's a waste of time. You won't know how to handle yourself in a real fight if you don't spar. Even light kumite is better than nothing. Best of luck in finding what you're looking for. :)

    Karate-wise, I suggest learning Kyokushin.

This is the system of Karate that builds fighters as with moderate to intense training, hardening plus techniques in both attack and defense.

And sparring is often as you will learn how to take attacks and deliver them.

Where do you reside? I'm sure there is a Kyokushin dojo within your area
