No worries. The Welsh heritage is something I've long wanted to investigate. And hopefully the next time we're back in the UK, we can do that a bit. The last time, we hit my wife's origins. Her great grandfather immigrated to the US from Falkirk, Scotland. Evidently, his house is now a bank. *shrug*
You know, oddly enough, I actually HAVE seen whales. We honeymooned in Bar Harbor, Maine. It's a real eye-opener seeing one of these things (well, not killer whales in particular) breach out of the water next to your boat. Great stuff!
This is an interesting question to answer when you think about it. I guess im from many places. Wortley. West leeds. West yorkshire. up norf. England. Great Britian. Europe.
Err, not sure actually i think its kind of in the middle. I guess it must be upper, as i live right near where upper wortley primary school used to be. You know the area J?
Not very well. I used to work just off Gelderd Road, and I remember the little football ground (is it Oldfield Lane?) where Leeds City Boys used to play if I remember rightly. I'm from North Leeds, so I always found South Leeds pretty depressing!
west leeds yeh its getting worse, that football pitch is now a jungle, and i dont know if you remember the council flats opposite? well they were falling down so they were demolished recently!. Ay north leeds is where im heded when i finish with all my academic stuff - all my friends are up there.
There are some nice places in West Leeds - once you get a bit further out. I'm thinking of the more 'villagey' places like Rodley. North Leeds is best though. Although it's a lot rougher than it was when I was growing up.
My wife's a red-headed, feminist, West Virginian of Scottish heritage. And she's a lawyer. I fear nothing.
Lived in Germantown for for 7 years. My little brother lives in G-burg with his family! Now you moved to N. VA? What the???? Traitor! Damn Rebel! Oh..... wait...... Damn Redcoat!
