what's a good training regime for beginners?

    Total body workout 3 times per week, thats the way i started at the gym when i was 16

    Don't forget to add compound horizontal and vertical pulling movements too. You've already got the horizontal push and the vertical push, the squat, and the deadlift, so you need those to balance your program out. From what I've read of T-Nation and EliteFTS.com, it's a very good idea to have your push/pull at a 1:1 ratio. I suggest the TRX inverted row or bent over row for the horizontal pull, and pull/chin ups for the vertical pull.

    Just a bad angle. He's a big guy all over.

    He actually used to be much larger and have the worst diet I've ever heard of (he actually puked when he ate his first salad in years) but he's now in great shape and eats very healthy.
