the siggy says it all tho i've also recently started working with a guy who does silat & systema, and i'm enjoying the contrast
ninjukai taijitsu is a good martial arts and thats why i do it! its not a fraud martial art. don't believe people that don't do it!
ush, I've studied Senuces Ryu ju-jitsu, Shotokan Karate, and dabled in a bunch of other styles like Hun Gar, ninjitsu, tae kwon do, and BJJ. But I am currently training in Capoeira, and Modern Arnis. I'm a work in progress.
I've done some boxing, but quit because I wasn't interested in competition. I currently train in Bujinkan Taijutsu, and it seems to be the right MA for me.
Ive done Wado for a few years, a few months TKD. Now im doing Kickboxing. Ive also been going to a local sweat pit boxing gym but had to stop due to funds. My kickboxing club also runs a mixed martial arts club, mixing kick and thai boxing with grappling and weapons training. Our instructors often fly out to the US to train and are going to train with Hermes Franca next month i believe.
I trained in Tang Soo Do for many years, now I train in BJJ, basically filling in the holes of my traditional training. So far, so good.
now : Bujinkan and Hoshin past : TKD (got to yellow got bored with it) and Yang style Tai chi (didn't get very far either teacher had to move away)
Now: MMA/judo Past: BJJ/Shaolin White Crane/Combat hapkido/Boxing/Muay thai/Japanese Jui jitsu/Freestyle Wrestling
Past; Boxing, karate (Shotokan, up to purple...But aged 8 so it don't count)..Tai Chi, Genbukan Ninpo (Up to nikkyu), and some kendo and judo when I could..Other things I have done with friends or teachers for brief spells only (Like a training session or just out of interest) include Wing Chun, Jeet Kune Do and Fencing.. Now; Takeuchi Ryu Kogusoku Koshi no Mawari. You learn to eliminate a lot of excess stuff over time..
I can't believe I haven't posted on this thread yet! What I am doing now: ITF TKD and Muay Thai boxing. What I would like to do in the future: (As a add on to the other martial arts I'm doing) Judo as it complements my body build and I would like to start getting into some ground work.
