what glove or mitts should i get for sparring or point sparring in karate? could you tell me what you use and where i can get them :bang:  :bang: :bang: from matthew sewell blake at
Diped foam full finger in the uk any good martial arts shop will have them or ask your instructor to order some. Most instructors will have an account with a supplier. Hope this helps Assuming your talking about freestyle points karate. If it's traditional the elasticated mits will usually be required in either case the same advise will suit.
For semi-contact TKD i use the half-glove type as shown below: http://www.macho.com/products.jhtml...&subcategory.id=3&category.id=1&product.id=34 However, it is better to ask your instructor because different styles have different rules on what you are/aren't allowed to have, especially if you start entering competitions.
i need somthing like the photo they do not have a place for finger padd or something like this you have to tuck the finger in from matt blake :bang:
So you can use fingerless gloves? Check out the websites. If you're in the states, try century martial arts (www.centuryfitness.com) or kwon (www.kwon.com) or martial arts mart (www.martialartsmart.com)
which one which one from each company to choice we use white but the one in photo is o.k. for color from matt blake
It is important to note that under WKA rules and many other association rules in the UK that open finger gloves are not allowed due to some serious injuries involving fingers and eyes.
we always used century C-Gear which offered a lot of padding but after a year or two or three your thumb wore through.
i like adidas stuff but they do not make big uniform for small people with big bellys from matt blake
Mat. The gloves you have posted are not usually suitable for point sparring. MMA gloves like those above are not designed to protect the person bering hit at all and therefore wont be allowed by most clubs and/or organisations. The best kind of kit for points sparring is this kind of thing: Available from: http://www.martialartshop.co.uk/martial_art_sparring_equipment.htm If you order now and dont mind them being gold coloured (which I think is quite cool), the gloves are only £14.99. If you are in the US then: http://www.martialartssupplies.com/warsermetpun.html The Macho warrior range is excellent qualoity, and is ideal for all points sparring/light contact competition. If you start doign points sparring with regular MMA gloves someone will get hurt.
The first picture of the gloves in your post are the sort of gloves you should be using for point sparing.
