what are some good warmups to begin a stretch?

    looking for warmups before i start stretching apparently if you dont do them you could tear a muscle :eek: in your stretches any help would be greatly appricated

    - Try to bend your knee and touch your foot back to your hip.
    - Try to kick your foot up to make your lower leg to be parallel to the ground and hit the bottom of your foot on your other side hand.
    - Stay in a "bow-arrow stance". Keep your head, body, back leg in a straight line. Try to move your right shoulder as close to your left knee as possible. Repeat the other side.
    - Stay in a wide "7 star stance". Keep the foot of your bending leg flat on the ground. Try to touch your straight leg to the ground as close as possible. Repeat the other side.

    Run a mile or so, that will get you warmed up.
