i used to play.still got my chaos army in the loft somewhere.brother in law has the orcs!also happy new year!
dude necron rulz but lordotr is better for three resons a. easier to play b. less expensive c. way less rules and regulations plus if you get an evil army i wan't have to battle you
My space wolves hath defeated many a mighty foe! Or at least they would have if they hadn't been sitting around half painted for the last 2 years :bang:
I used to be really into Warhammer 40k; I had a Blood Angels and a Chaos army and I still have a few of the models that I was particularly proud of the painting on (I really have no ability when it comes to painting, but a few leaders etc were pretty well done). The reason that caused me to stop was the reason that befouls many a hardened gamer - girls. I discovered they didn't smell quite as much as I'd previously suspected and that they were generally A) not at all interested in such things and B) an equally expensive hobby and there wasn't enough money left from the paper round to finance both, so girls won. I'm enjoying Dawn of War though, it's a nice bit of nostalgia
I used to play Blood Angels and Eldar but all the sutff is getting seriously overpriced. the LOTR stuff is cheaper but still...
I thought this was a dawn of war thread. If you guys liked the characters and the board game, you need to play Dawn of War on the computer. They did an excellent job of translating the characters of the orcs and the space marines. The intro video is worth the price of the game if you get turned on by great computer graphics and heart pumping music.
I tried to get into it when I was younger, but kind of failed due to lack of money. And the whole girl thing that someone already posted.
you shoulda been at my middle school, maybe 20 people or less (can't remember) broke out their WH figures and went to war. Heck even the principal watched once
