    I hear that weights really only affect growth if used incorrectly or excessively for that age and it's also a factor of how young you are. If you're 13, you should have no problems. You shrink slightly throughout the day anyway because you get out of bed -fact.
    If you're still not convinced though, I recommend yoga regiments. I've met a few people who've never lifted weights, but are serious yogis and are rock hard like a boulder man. It's a little more effort and dedication on your part, but yoga can't hurt if you're into martial arts. I believe I read somewhere that yoga influenced it in various places throughout history. Indeed, there are similarities.

    You'll have to find the correct yoga form though. Some are extremely high energy and will get yoiur heart pumping whilst others focus on holding poses (which is what you need) and etc.
