I put this query here as I didn't know where else to put it. On BBC3 last night there was a program on martial arts & chi etc. One of the featured practioners was a japanese master who used his voice to actually incapacitate his opponent rather than just intimidate him. The video clips looked impressive and he also caused a large iron pot to ring by shouting at it from across the room. Has anyone else heard of this art? What's it called and where can I find out more information. I'm just curious as I've never heard of anything like it before. Adds another dimension to the old grappling vs striking argument Thanks W
Yellow bamboo isn't an art, its a nice fake. Its also a great weight on the name of martial arts which would be better disposed of.
Ooops, I should have Googled a bit more. Maybe that's why I had never heard of it and it looked good on the tele because of digital trickery. I really should know better at my age! W
