Vital Spots - Pressure Points

    Hi Mike,

    I'm one of those people. The 5 element stuff is way to complex, especially if you have to envision colours and sound as well in some cases.

    I know that I can hit one point on x and open up another point on x and get a knockout from either depending on my opponent.

    For example, one of my students admitted to binge drinking on the weekends (what he actually said was that he would get through 24 cans, or a bottle and a half of whisky, but that's binge drinking).

    Yellow Tag technique 5 involves a kick to the liver points by the knee. to say his reaction to a light kick was like me on a good day is an understatement :)

    We also grab points on the opposite arm but not with the 5 elements in mind, rather the predictive response that doing so creates. This is a Kenpo thing and has been around for years, they just don't seem to highlight pressure points as pressure points.

    Only problem being I am the instructor!!
    Thanks for the idea of just hitting areas..I will try that.
