Anybody go to the fred villaris seminar two weeks ago? He promoted 4 people to 9th degree and 3 people to 8th degree.
There was a test for 5th and above in South Florida about 3-4 weeks ago. From what I've heard it went a good 5-6 hours. I have no idea about the ceremony, apparently it was in New England.
It was probably closer to 6-7. Just for black belt, I had to do 8 hours over two days (I don't know about how it's done in other locales).
me neither. i've never seen one. i've watched some senior kyu ranks in our school test. it's nice to watch those. you get to see the type of stuff you'll be doing down the road and what type of test to expect.
