Well i am having trouble perfecting my Ushiro Gaeshi (backwards roll). Whenever i do one at any sort of speed its my knee that comes into contact with the ground first. Obviously on a mat this is no problem, but on a hard-floor it hurts like hell, and my instructor always says what if you have to do one on the cobbled street (near the dojo). I have tried lifting myself with my hands when i am most of the way over, and although i land on my feet instead of my knees it seems more cumbersome. Any ideas would be good
