Hey everyone, just a short question: I've come across a word quite recently which I'm trying to find out what it means. The word being "Shinkan". I've seen it twice now, the once for a style of Karate known as Tenshinkan Karate and the other the name for a Jujutsu dodo (Shinkan Jujutsu). Anyone know what it stands for or means? Ever heard of it before?
Hmmmmmmmm......... I know that the Japanes call their bullet train the Shinkan Sen. As two words Shin Kan then yes, that would translate as spirit place or more accuraletly mind place. Actually they would probably say Kan Shin. (As in Zanshin, Mushin) Let's hope someone with more knowledge get a look.
i'll get more info later but there is a jujutsu school in my area that calls itself "shinjitsu jujutsu". 480-5 Patchogue-Holbrook Road Holbrook, New York 11741 (631) 472-5140
