A new petition to the UK Government is underway at present, started by a member of the Chinese swordsmanship community, since apparently gim, jian and dao are also subject to banning as well as nihonto. (If Japanese and Chinese swords are to be banned, how long will it be for European swords)

The wording and spelling could be better, but it's better than nothing.

Since this has bearing on CSA, JSA and WSA, I think it might be a good last-ditch effort to sign.

You can also in a polite and eloquent manner, contact Mr. Jonathan Batt at the Home Office at jonathan.batt@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

I wonder if we at MAP training in JSA, CSA and WSA could possibly formulate our own petition. It could be flogging a dead horse, but it beats the hell out of apathy.

    Kind Regards,

I dread thinking the UK is going to pass such a law. Its not far fetched that it will be taken up by other Commonwealth countries who have nothing better to do.

    MAP petition please!
