A bit off topic, but... Will a trap bar have the same effect on working the traps as a regular barbell?
Probably better. No bar sliding up and down your thighs. The weight will be more in the center as opposed to out in front of your body too. So I'd imagine it'd be a bit better. But doing the deadlifts/squat thingies with the hex/trap bar will work the crap outta your traps anyways.
It makes the shrugs better as well. Farmer Walks are an improvement as well. DB's top out around 120 each, the TB can load over 400 lbs.
Just make farmers walk "implements" (i love saying that word....LOL!). But yeah, never thought about using a hex bar for walks. Think my neighbors would mind?
