please give me your top 3 circuit exercises as i'm too lazy/busy to boogle it or go through youtube: eg split lunges mountain climbers burpees i want to try another circuit after work based on a 10 exercise 1 minute per (so pullups are out alas)
Sit-through press ups maybe? Do a press up, as you come up thread one leg through your hands, lift the opposite hand up and turn over until you face the ceiling. Reverse the motion, do another press up and repeat using the other leg. Good for grappling mobility.
Planks are one of the useful isometric exercises out there. What in the world is a suicide plank and how do you do it for speed -Medicine Ball Slams -Tire Flips -Jumping Knee Tuck
bear (sp?) in mind this is in a commercial chain gym, no tractor tyres, no sledgehammers, no prowlers. i've seen jason scully do pressup sit throughs but keep making a fool of myself trying to do exercises i haven't got a feel for yet (since i mess up plain sit throughs) i can't imagine what a suicide plank is, other than jumping out a really tall building with no parachute
si agree with PASmith, sit through press ups are on my list and jiu jitsu stand ups and sprawls circular circuit trains good motor patterns for a grappler
Start in plank, up into push up position and down into plank. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_6ugcjEP98"]Torture the Trainer with Suicide Planks - YouTube[/ame] Except do it as fast as you can. It's pretty tough.
Thanks. I have a feeling that's going to bruise my forearms as much as work my core strength but prepared to give it a go
You should do it under control, but yeah, you probably want a mat or a couple of towels under you for when you get tired.
BB thruster burpees KB swings/snatches sports specific stuff: push up sit throughs sprawls zombie escapes you can make some pretty brutal circuits with that buisness.
i'll let someone who knows more about grappling than the nipple cripples and biting i rely on but its the escape from someones top mount in MMA or BJJ. i may not have the right name mind
you bridge, rotate onto one shoulder while shooting another hand to the ceiling and your lower leg steps back through the supporting leg. this making sense?
funnily enough can't find any youtube videos because searching "zombie escape workout/fitness/cardio" all comes up with peoples zombie escape plans and associated fitness regeimes on how best to work out to be prepared for the inevitable zombie appocalypse!
This has got a bit 'out of hand'. Surprisingly I couldn't read any of your later replies for some reason so I didn't end up doing this on Friday, or Saturday for that matter, but hey it is deload week
