    I have no experience with hankido or the other hapki styles, but I do own mark tedeschi's book and have read it a few times. I'd be interested to know what more experienced KMA and Hapki stylists think of it

    i really like it. to me, they emphasize leading and unbalancing over locking compared to most styles. i also like their emphasis on internal mechanics especially in their exercises. imo although it looks like it focuses more on the practical than the philosophical if compared to aikido. the sword patterns are flowing but not really like more conventional hapkido styles that use sword (which is at a minimum anyways). it's closer to chinese styles (wudang, tai chi, hsingi) in that respect.

    people speak well of the leadership.
