You don't know if you trained for an hour or 90 minutes.

All this may sound like you are being picked on, but from an instructor's point of view the half hearted trainer annoys me.

Train or don't train, but the ones who say, "I'll see you in class on Monday", then never turn up waste everyone's time.

There are no secrets in the martial arts. It's there for everyone who wants it.

You just have to go and get it.

The 6-7 months is compiled of all the TKD lessons i have done.

it was a hour, thats the standard time. (for me anyway) I meant i cant tell you how many hours i have done it in hours or days for that matter.
Im not half hearted, i just have questions and am vocal in said questions and problems i have with it. There isnt any need to focus on the aspects you like as you like them. Im also blunt from lack of writing ability and just the wording i use.

I also dont speak that much so i wont fall for the trap of "see you next monday" ;)

I have some grievances with the one i do, but as i dont see a alt to it i am doing it to get experience and something while trying to not learn the bad parts of it. Like i said before, i am a Pessimist who borderlines Nihilism at times, thats my personality so there is no changing that. The fact i am doing something which i dont like 100% shows something.

The going there bit is the difficult bit for me, i hopefully wont have to wait a decade to get a vehicle or a licence to operate it to relibly get to places further away.

If you don't know how many classes you've gone to, how do you know it adds up to 6/7 months?

It sounds like you have somewhere under 50 hours of lessons total. I have over 2,000 hours training directly with a grandmaster. So far, the advice everyone has given to you in the past few pages is fairly sound or wise. If I were you I'd be a bit more thankful and take it to heart, instead of saying things like they need to "prove it" first.

Also, lay off the spinning kicks and focus on fundamentals right now. You may have taken a few classes with them some time ago, but you're at a new school now and still a white belt. Keep it simple and work on the basics. Front, heel, sidekicks, stances, footwork. Always warmup before practicing, too (10-15 minutes.)

I'd even suggest laying off the bag work for now until you have better form in your movements.

I dont usually take soemthing at face value, hell see my signature. (its all context pending) Its all been taken in what has been put on this thread.

Spinning kick is fundamental to me, however, i may be using different terminology.Heel kick is just a side kick aimed with the heel right?

Hitting the punching bag is my most favourite exercise though, i use it for feedback in punches and kicks with the sound etc. I wont get any feedback for bag work anyway to know when my form is good enough to do it. (unless i find a boxing club, which is a possibility. :p)

Heel kick - like a basic front kick but striking with the heel instead.

It's already been established you are on the start of your journey, so the fundamentals are balance and shape, followed by a bit of flexibility, strength and fitness.

If you don't want to take that at face value you will fail.

Not sure how you are throwing your side kick, but landing with anything other than the heel is an error in my opinion. What surface are you striking with now?

A heel kick is like a side kick thrown to the side of your opponent, then you do a leg curl and your heel should hit them.

I have been showna spinning kick as a basic kick in both TKD schools i have gone to, i can also do it decently well. Its the kick where i hit with my shin.

I hit with the ball, but it sometimes drifts downwards, i cant physically bend my foot to strike with the outer edge of the foot. Plus one for inflexability. :p

See now to me a heel kick is not basic as i didnt even know what it was. XP

Note to self, ask teacher how to do a back kick as its bugging me not knowing how to do it now. Its something i could do at least decently.

Edit: Yeah, im wrapping my hands up next time i use the bag, my right hand knuckles/fingers hurt. Not worth it. :p

The structure of a sidekick is far stronger if you align the hip and the heel, so try it out.

Yeah, glad you have decided to wrap up. It will keep your hands safe.
