post your most effective technique for the week.(competition or randori) mine is the fake uchi mata to o soto otoshi.
Well I have one favorite technique, which unfortunately doesn't prolly have name since it's something I came up with myself. But other one is O-Soto-gari done over the hip. First you get a good grab over the uke's hand, pull him around a bit, then you swiftly move your right leg behind his, and bring hip with you. It's kuzure version of O-soto-gari actually, changes it into a hip throw. But when done right, it's pretty effective. Got to watch the counter throw though.
i fought alot of small and fast opponents(a tough target for an o-soto-gari) and im blasted with seoinages. tani otoshi proves to be useful.
Hell, I made it through to Judo Brown belt only being good at Tani and a leg pick up One attack, one defence Col
We don't see enough Tani Otoshi around here. I try to teach it to the kids, but nooo, they just don't use it in competition. It's a useful throw! As for most effective, for some reason, I've been getting off an O Guruma a lot lately in practice. It's not a throw you see too often, so it works!
O guruma! another fave of mine. nice against a circling opponent. also, a nice follow-up move. (o uchi gari)
my g/f has perfected hiza garuma into morote seonage (or yama arashi) its absolutly deverstating. you land with her shoulder firmly nestled into your solar plexus. i worked out this equasion to explain how i felt after she first got it right: YW = your weight HW = her weight (9st) M= momentum YW+HWxM = not being able to breath for 2mins and not getting up for at least 5mins
um...flying triangle? damn! judo confuses me to no end. best that people only speak english, i'm too lazy to know what you're talking about.
