Hi, Can someone tell me what chinese martial arts were in prominence during these periods in chinese history? Thanks! Some history about the styles and systems would be nice as well.

I don't know terribly much about dynastic Chinese history, but I'll share what I have.

From what I understand, Chinese Martial Arts didn't seriously start formalizing and catagorizing itself into styles until the Ming Dynasty.
The Song Dynasty was largely militaristic, so I imagine martial arts developed fairly well in such an environment.
I believe that the supposedly Tang Emperor Taizong created the foundings of Long Fist (Chang Quan). I believe that the Korean style "Tang Soo Do" means "Way of the Tang (as in Tang Dynasty) Hand."

I believe it was in 1836 that Chan Hueng created Choy Li Fut formally, which I believe puts him right in the Mind dynasty. Also, in the history of CLF book I have, it was said his students used CLF against the corrupt Ming dynasty.
