I've been watching the Taekwondo GP which is on in London over the next couple of days. I've just watched Lauren Williams win her Gold medal final by a huge points score over I believe the current world champion. If you get the chance have a watch as it was just an amazing match! Found a video of the finals, Lauren's match starts around 2h 29m.
She did, I felt she just gave up after the 2nd round. Also silver and bronze medals for Sinden and Cho, so three medals after the first day!
It is what it is. If you don't like it, don't watch. Personal opinions can't detract from the skill or athleticism of the competitors involved. Mitch
I guess its horses for courses, I find it to be on the whole a pretty exciting sport, with some very skilled practitioners.
I forgot that was happening soemtime, i think i heard about it. This did remind me about watching the international black belt competition which i forgot existed until just now. Time to skim watch some bits because 3 hours, jesus. edit: What are they doing at the 6:15 mark? i haven't watched done of thes before and have no idea what that type of match is called.
No medals for GB Taekwondo today with both of there fighters out after their first matches. Aaron Cook however is in the semi finals so is in the medals!
