Well after seeing Barnett school both Rogers and Kharitanov I've got to say he has proven he's still a top 10 guy to me. Personally I always drop any fighter of my personal 10 if they've been out for a year but he's beat some legit top 15 dudes. And with pretty much all the HW's being a bit inactive he's at least #10. Him and Cormier will make for an exciting fight. I think the stand up will be speed vs. Reach and Barnett will go for takedowns to mix things up and keep Daniel Cormier off balance. That mix of things will allow him to get a takedown but I'm sure there will be mad scrambles and Cormier will probably get his own takedowns. Anything could happen but I don't expect any subs or KOs but a lot of strikes and scrambles.
I think Barnett is possibly top 5 and should in any case be ranked over Overeem. I agree with Pit Fighter about what kind of fight it's likely to be although I disagree about the possible finishes. I think Cormier could definitely KO Josh on the feet, he looked very very dangerous against Silva with a lot of power. And I think Josh could definitely submit him if he gets a chance. If.
Monson went 3 rounds against him as a walking punchbag and Cormier didn't knock him out. Again, I don't think it was that hard to look dangerous on the feet against Silva.
