Shin fractures?

In this sport, how common are shin breaks/fractures? If you clash shins at high speed, I should think there would be a good chance of breaking your shin.

 

In Muay Thai quite a bit.

 

I'm going to the docs tonight to have that lump on my shin that i've been raving about looke at. Thats at 5, then i have Thai Boxing class straight after at 6 lol.

 

I've got plenty of lumps after kyokushin, but are there many fractures in muay thai?

 

I'm not sure how common they are, the first Thai Boxing contest I saw ended up with a guy breaking his leg trying to kick and being blocked... looked quite nasty!
