    Skipping between kan is not the best of ideas. By all means look at each one and find one that fits but flitting between them will more than likely hinder your development, not to mention such things are frowned upon for various reasons.

    This is probably going to be more so if you wish to study in Japan.

    Agreed. That could get awkward and also confusing.

    I think at your point (once you choose) you really need to be thinking of dedication and long term commitment to one art/org. You really need to get a base before you start "cross-training".

    My view is not political (though that may cause issues) but because you really might hamper your ability to progress by mix-and-match training. Some arts also require some commitment on your part.
