Hey guys, I was curious on an aspect of Server 2003. When a Server 2003 environment unexpectedly reboots, it asks for a reason why the reboot occured. Now, when it's sitting at this stage of the bootup process does it still start services? And is this feature customizable? If so, where?
I believe that at the point that that screen comes up only the minimal amount of services have started up and will not continue until you pass that screen. As for as hot to disable here is a step by step http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_tutorials/Disable-Shutdown-Event-Tracker-Windows-2003.html Hope that helps
yes as above ^^ the only services it runs are the basic startup seervices of windows and i dont think it is customizable but you can turn it off
