Hey all, There's been a bit of a protracted discussion going on here in General Discussion about the US Army Combatives program. I was just curious if there was any information out there about the UK program. I've been trying to find some stuff on google but can't find any hard documentation. Was wondering if anyone knew anything about the formalized combatives program that's being used in the UK. - Matt
Matt, I have no idea on the current ideas used, but Defendo and it's more advanced cousin of Combato are based on what was used up until fairly recently. These are taken from the Fairbairn system dveloped in the UK. See the Defendo Website from the Canadian arm for more history and information.
