Hey there, I've recently been thinking about expanding my MA training and san shou/san da seems like it would suit my needs. I can't find any local schools however. Does anyone know of any schools or anyone training san da in Scotland? Much appreciated.
I remember San Da competitions in the Chinese Mall in Shamrock St Glasgow many years ago, I am not sure if the platform is still there now. try and contact Neil Renwick in Galashiels (Lau Gar), His club compete in kickboxing and will know more than me.
You can try Charlie Gorrie's TaiChiChuan guys, who have competed sucessfully in competitions in England (probably Oxford with Dan Docherty). In particular there is a guy there Billy Leggatt who has competed in a lot of competitions and can be a real handfull. I know that they want to develop a competition base in Scotland for pushing hands and san shou.
