    PLOT
From the off you are delved into a heroic car chase which apparently carries on directly from the last film however I would defy this notion due to the simple fact the last thing you see before the credits is bond sniping someone in the leg and cordially introducing himself.

This car chase of course follows on into a variety of locations which Bond of course navigates with improbable ease and miraculously looses some bad guys too. Of course this is not due to the fact he is driving an Aston Martin DBS and they are in Land Rover Defenders.

Next up is a scene in a dreary chamber where his suit for some reason is still immaculate and the guy in the chair knows the guy opposite him is a double agent. This I presume is where the plot is meant to start.

After some catchy eye candy action scenes we find ourself in the middle leg of the film, a dreary and generally uneventful affair involving a random woman and a couple of cheeky additions. For some reason the plot progresses to "You are so blinded by rage..." and then we are in a desert and a hotel which is there inexplicably is blowing up.

Oh I forgot to mention there are these really nasty evil guys called Quantum who are going to take over the world by stealing a cave full of water. This is why they killed Vesper apparently?

Whilst this general low quality performance would be almost passable for an insanely low budget channel five afternoon filler it is sadly the next in the line of James Bond 007 films, and it just won't do.

Bond as a character is devoid of interest and completely lacking in any of the cool quirks that makes bond so fun as a character. This however is not down to any lack of acting prowess of Daniel Craigs part... all in all I'd say good performance for him pity about what he was performing. No kitchy chat up lines... no sardonic remarks... nothing.
M is pretty much reduced to a filler character with no set reason to be anywhere she is and fair removed from the M behind the desk we are all accustomed to... indeed why would the head of MI5 be on the scene of the murder of one of her subordinates bed warmers?
The 'bond girl' - the first in history he doesn't properly get off with - is distinctly sub standard in looks character and general involvement.
And even more upsetting, No gadgets!!!

In general the film was devoid of plot, it didn't even live up to the short paragraph on the cinema listings involving the sinister plot with Vesper and co. The action was good, almost as good as Casino Royale... but the absolute lack of content for the rest of the film made it quite a disappointment in the end.

Rating: 1/4 Stars - As an indipendant film it would be poor, but for cinema giant like James Bond not good enough.
Personal Fanboydom: 5/10 - Yes it is worth seeing but I think Fanboys would be even more upset than I am, shouldn't Quantum have been Spectre?
