raw lifting

    i recently started lifting raw...no belt, wraps or suit......weights really took a hit squat went from 500 to about 400......is raw lifting good ..any opinions

    yeah, it's better than lifting with all the gear. I mean, I don't have an option because I don't have any of the kit and can't afford it anyway, but I'm convinced it's bettter. You don't want grip strength or some stabiliser muscle or other to become an issue in real life.

    Agreed. Personally I think lifting with all the gear will get in the way of better lifting technique. It may not hurt it but it will hide any flaws you have in form.

    The point of lifting is to get stronger not to just lift more weight.
