I understand the fear and cycle of abuse element. I grew up in a violent home. But why let it get that far that there is a cycle of abuse at all? It genuinely hurts my brain trying to understand.
I think it's a combination of things, low self worth, cultural norms, fear of the unknown, societal pressures etc.
