Here is an e-mail I received today regarding the passing of Peter Urban. The e-mail is from Don Warrener a well know Goju Stylist in Canada. "Today I am sad. We lost yet another one of the truly greats Sensei Peter Urban passed away last night. Yes he was controversial but at his own choosing. Yes he was talented ask the Yamaguichi brothers. Yes he was a great teacher ask his students. Yes he was a great student ask his Sensei's who have passed away as well. Yes he was my friend and a teacher of mine ask me. He will be missed dearly by all who knew how truly great he was and he was one of the greats." Don Warrener
Urban The USA GOJU FEDERATON mourns the passing of Peter Urban. The USAGF honours it's roots to Master Urban and his influence is alive in the kata and teachings passed down. Urban's Bo, Empi Ha, Soft Tekkioko, Kururunfa, and Tenshoa. The Four Urban Feelings encapsulate the inside punishing nature of USA Goju. I never met Master Urban but I have learned from his deciples.
