Just heard about this and it hit me with a great pang of sadness that even surprised me.

The world has lost a true legend.

    Rest in peace Muhammad Ali.

Just now saw the news report.
    The Greatest has moved on.

Rest in peace, champ. I never saw you live but I saw some of your fights on tv when I was young. You were the greatest.
    And the prettiest, too.

I feared I'd wake to this news.

I've dealt with some stuff this last couple of years and not shed a tear.

I have a tear today as I write this.

    Thank you champ.

    I always liked this one.

There's no compliment I could give him which could equal what he took with his own hands. He stood above giants and he did it with grace. And when someone tries to tell you that boxing isn't a martial art because there's no art in it you point them to this man.

The legend of Ali transcends Boxing and Sports in general. He is a legend of our society. He was brash and arrogant in a way that was cool and respectful unlike many today who are just brash, arrogant jerks.
