Is it true that Mas Oyama was able to kill bulls with one hit? I watched some videos that supposedly demonstrate this, but the film is bad quality and you couldn't really see what was happening in the video. But does anyone know of a better quality video of this performance? Or does anyone know more about Mas Oyama's bull-killing-chop technique? Just curious.
As I understand it he was a bit of a showman and rigged these "contests". Partially cutting through horns before "chopping" them off and such. The vids I've seen show a bull desperately trying to get away from him rather than hurt him. He's using the ring through its nose for pain compliance. Different times perhaps but these days I'd be charging him with animal cruelty. But as mentioned a hard man he most definitely was.
Yeah I think the technique he used to kill the bull was an ancient Japanese technique called "nobbling".
