All of you that think the samurai never used the tonfa, sai, nunchaku and kama are wrong. I have found proof from The Samurai Jujitsu Association. And just in case you still don't believe me, here are some photos of the soke demonstrating these weapons.
Forgot to mention that the first and last of the pictures you've posted would be hilarious to watch at full speed, as soke ends up damaging his coccyx in the ensuing fall!
I was just a little sick in my mouth having seen those images. Oh.. and Master Rev. Soke Kyoshi Vincent Sciortino Says it all
Some 'gems' from the site: Funnily enough, the foundation doesn't say which is their preferred method of handing out BBs. :woo: :woo: :woo: :woo: :woo: :woo:
When I saw the title of this thread I thought BULL!!! When I saw the pictures I thought SHI.. Put them together and what have you got????? regards koyo
Sometimes I try to justify this sort of training by saying 'at least the kids are getting some physical exercise'. But in this case, I don't know what to say. Why? Why do people do this?
I have seen the light ...and the dark colours that they wear and am extreemly jealous !!!!!!!!!!!!! Jujitsu for the colour blind ....
Because there are a lot of people out there that want to imagine that they are samurai. People like this fellow allow them to believe in that dream without having to lay out the necessary hardship required to learn a real art. They can go in and play at training without really having to overly exert themselves. The Rev. Prof. Archbishop soke is in it simply for the ego strokes. Just my opinions, but that's how I see it.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!.... takes deep breath....BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! yes those are obviously samurai in the picture.
Did anyone notice on the dojo timetable that they have Mass on Sunday at 10am?? wrong Aikido is a sport? Why did no one tell me? I can't even be bothered looking anymore.
As far as I'm aware Jujutsu had little to nothing to do with the development of Karate. I've lost count of how many Jujitsuka (note spelling) I've heard that from. Well he is a reverend. Considering he decided he was a Soke though I'm surprised he hasn't promoted himself to Pope yet. :bang:
"All his grades are recognized world-wide, even in Japan." Because the Japanese are normally very choosy.
