WHat do you think will happen to Pride now. I have noticed Pride's gradual getting down the slope since a couple months ago.
First off, after Pride 31, Rampage is out of the contract, saying that he doesnt get enough money for what he thinks he deserve.
Next, we have Sakuraba leaving Takada's Dojo, meaning that he left Pride, without any explaination and in a quite unexpected, surprising manner (appears in K-1, and next thing you know, he's gonna fight in August).

Wanderlei Silva refused to participate first in the Open Weight Grand Prix saying Pride doesnt pay him enough money.

Worst, Fuji TV cancelled the contract for broadcasting Pride events. Furthermore, Sakakiraba was suspected with Yakuza' s ties, same with Takada

Every company goes through rough patches. Frankly, now that Pride is a free agent on the major PPV circuit in Japan, I expect them to get picked up pretty sharpish, probably for more money than Fuji were paying. The yakuza accusations remain unproven, and they've been being thrown around for a while. In Japan, Pride's ratings and PPV buys are simply too high for someone to not pick them up - the Shockwave PPV on New Years outsold the K-1 Dynamite event on the same night for the first time
As for the Rampage situation - there's a lot going on there, it's not just finance. It's a fairly safe assumption that the WFA that he's newly signed to aren't paying him more than Pride did, though they may have given him a paycut because he's not been doing too well over the last year or so in Pride

Whats up with the Yakuza rumors?

Anyone know anyone in the MMA world from or in Japan?

The Yakuza rumors are probably at least partially true. A lot of the entertainment industry has connections to low brow mob activity, especially things like puroresu, which Pride is an offshoot of. To what extent yakuza are involved is unknown

yea, so Liao pointed, and so did many understand it, that PrideFC, as a big business, must be involved with Yakuza for certain tasks to get done for the final products. It's the same every other company that are big and successful. Then why is it a big deal with Dream Stage Entertainment? Cutting off the TV broadcast contract b/c DSE is involved with Yakuzas is just really stupid and silly. for all we know, K-1 can be involved as well

So is all the fuss about the Yakuza because they essentially are investors of the company?

Or is it thought they control the company?
