This review dosn't speak to favourably about the P4 3.4 EE http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q4/pentium4-xe-3.46/index.x?pg=1
Here a review for the 3.8 EE: http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q4/pentium4-570j/index.x?pg=1 (check out the Overclocking page, that will intrest you) The AMD Athlon 64 3800+ beat the P4 3.8EE in virtually all gaming/graphics benchmarks, even when it was overclocked to 4.5Ghz
pc specz! the one i run on a day to day basis is just a regular intel with linux inside Packard Bell 75GB HD with 256MB of ram NV17 GeForce4 MMX 440-SE 15" monitor
hey homer, u think if i overclock the 2.8 fx 57 to 3.4 u think it will beat everything eles in the market today?
No. Clock speed isn't the only factor to how good a processor is. A 2.2GHz AMD would probably beat a 3GHz+ Intel. Edit. Just notticed you refering to the FX 57, in which case, i believe it's already the best single core processor out today so there would be no need to overclock. You need to get a processor designed for what you want. If you get a dual core processor if wont make a diffrence because can't utilise both cores with games.
