    80Gb HDD
    19" Philips TFT Monitor.

Given the amount of time I use it, and what I use it for, I would have been better off just getting some 2.8Ghz Cele'...

While you may laugh at his computer specs, he does seem to have a 19' (thats foot) monitor.

    While I am here...

    ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Mobo
    AMD Athlon 64 3500+
    Gigabyte GeForce 6800GT
    1GB ValueSelect Corsair DDR RAM
    2 Seagate Cheetah 10k's in a Level 0 RAID
15" Compaq Presario MV500 (yeah, um, its only 7 years old)

Things I need to change: Better and more RAM, 7800GTX Dual GPU replacing 6800GT, 17" LCD replacing 15" CRT. Oh yeah, a new case or a massive heatsink. I caught my computer trying to die on me when it reached 60 C.

This review dosn't speak to favourably about the P4 3.4 EE http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q4/pentium4-xe-3.46/index.x?pg=1

hey homer, u think if i overclock the 2.8 fx 57 to 3.4 u think it will beat everything eles in the market today?

  19. Topher

    Topher allo!

    No.

Clock speed isn't the only factor to how good a processor is.

    A 2.2GHz AMD would probably beat a 3GHz+ Intel.

Edit. Just notticed you refering to the FX 57, in which case, i believe it's already the best single core processor out today so there would be no need to overclock.

You need to get a processor designed for what you want. If you get a dual core processor if wont make a diffrence because can't utilise both cores with games.
